Digital Marketing Trends: Next Gen Marketing and Analytics Fireside Chat

Who: Collective Campus with guest speakers from xLabs and Kepler Analytics

The rise of the Internet of Things and the wearable devices means that there’s more data than ever before for marketers and data analysts to tap into. This informal event will bring together Richard Kuta from xLabs and David Mah from Kepler Analytics who will share their thoughts on big data, marketing and analytics, and how brands can tap into these new developments. There’ll also be a Q&A and time to network afterwards.

A Look Inside Metro: The ABC’s Media Transcoding Service

Who: Daphne Chong, Technical Lead in the API and Backend Services team at the ABC

What: This one is for the software developers. Daphne will take attendees through the national public broadcaster’s new media transcoding system called Metro, which converts various sources of content into standardised format for their catch-up service, iView. Learn about the system at a high level, hear about the technical difficulties they’ve faced, what results they’ve achieved so far, and what they plan to do in the future.

Design Thinking Experience

Who: Collective Campus and the School of Design Thinking

What: This three-day hands-on course will give participants a solid understanding of the Design Thinking principles. Participants will be given the chance to complete two projects while undertaking the course, as they apply the Design Thinking principles of empathy, collaboration and experimentation to their work. This way of thinking engenders collaboration and equips adherents with the skills to solve complex problems in exciting ways. Perfect for business leaders and entrepreneurs who are looking to develop new business models and inspire their teams.

When: Three full days, 9am-5:30pm, 18-20 April, 2016
